About the Program

Camp Gannett, the Elizabeth Peabody House summer day camp, is located in Sharon, MA. The program provides a camp experience to a diverse group of over 100 children from Somerville and surrounding communities. The program provides opportunity for nature, hiking, swimming, boating, drama, crafts and sports. A strong emphasis is placed on multiculturalism and environmental awareness. The camp is staffed by experienced camp professionals.

Program Goals

The Elizabeth Peabody House provides a quality summer camp experience to school age children by offering developmentally appropriate activities and experiences. Children develop self-esteem, social skills, emotional skills, language skills, literacy skills, cognitive skills, motor skills, self-help skills and other life skills. The program seeks to meet the needs of both the children and their families.

Program Information
  • 100+ Children 5-14 years of age
  • Hours of Operation: 8:00 - 4:15
  • Transportation provided from EPH to Camp Gannett
  • 8, 1-Week Sessions
  • $150-$195 Per Week
  • Scholarships Available, Vouchers Accepted
  • $25 per week for extended care ($5 a day)
  • Group Leader/Child Ratio 1:8
  • Discounts available for enrollment before May 1st
  • Sibling discounts also available
  • Residents living near Sharon, camp hours are 9:30-3:30
