Letter from the Executive Director :: Dear Friends, Since 1896, The Elizabeth Peabody House (EPH) has supported youth and families in Somerville and Greater Boston community working to understand the developmental needs of our children, support families, and bring out the best in our community supporters. The months and years ahead will be challenging and unusual in the history of the Elizabeth Peabody House as the demand for community services for youth and families increases. EPH will strive to increase program offerings that address the needs of our diverse community. As the socio-economic landscape of Somerville continues to change with the advent of the Green Line extension and development of Union Square, it is more important than ever that we maintain affordable quality education and after school enrichment programs for the youth and families of Somerville and surrounding communities. Over the next fiscal year EPH will work closely with Executive Service Corps, a non-profit consulting firm, to develop a five year strategic plan that will define the future of our agency as the community changes around us. Through this process we hope to achieve a new and improved service model that is focused on providing fun, social, educational and enrichment opportunities for as many children and families as possible. I want to personally thank our community partners, volunteers, and funders. Our programs and services would not be made possible without your support, hard work and dedication. Yours in Service, Selvin Chambers
